Welcome to 2009

What a celebration we had to bring in the new year! All kinds of games, food and fun kept us up until the wee hours of the morning. Does dropping quarters in a cup ring a bell? We look forward to what is next!

Feeding the Homeless!

The Hanger took its first mission trip! A group of 14 headed to Monroe Park in Richmond on Sunday morning to feed the homeless of the area. Students served over 250 people a hot breakfast and a sandwich for lunch. They were able to insert themselves into the lives of others less fortunate. What a treat to watch these students not only hand over food, but also a smile to an otherwise gloomy situation.

As we look into more service adventures, we encourage you to step outside of yourself into someone else's world. Are you being the arms of Jesus today?

Chick-fila Dodge Ball

What a great day! Sixteen students represented the Hanger in this year's annual dodge ball tournament in Richmond. Both the high school and middle school teams came out strong and played with great attitudes and integrity. Not only did we get many rounds of 6 on 6 competition in, we had a great time. See you there next year!
